Jeremy Sutton, Barrister

I have been a lawyer for 16 years since graduating with an LLB from Auckland University. I am currently a Lawyer for Child and a Youth Advocate - a lawyer appointed by the Court to act for children and young people in difficult cases. 

I work for clients throughout the country and overseas.  I am a passionate advocate for my clients and am greatly assisted by loyal and hard working lawyers and support staff. 

I have appeared as Lead Counsel in the Court of Appeal in a case under section 9 of the NZ Bill of Rights Act 1990.

Clare Renwick, Barrister

Clare specializes in cases involving children, especially relocation, parenting, adoption, surrogacy and care & protection issues.

Anna Ting, Barrister

Anna conducts Tribunal Appeals and often novel civil claims against Government Departments such as the NZ Police, Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice. She also deals with parole, recall hearings and criminal law where it overlaps with civil work.

Victoria Farry, Barrister

Victoria started in February 2008 and focuses on family law. She has a Master of Social Work (Applied) and a special interest in social and family violence issues.

Emma Lamont-Messer

Emma joined our team in September 2009.  Emma was admitted to the Bar in 2002 and worked for the Wanganui Crown Solicitor before joining Crown Law in 2004.  Emma has experience in criminal and family law and has a particular interest in immigration and refugee issues.

Shaney Watson, PA / Case Manager

Shaney started in February 2008 and has previously been a Case Manager in both the Youth and Criminal Courts.

Sheena Lau, Law Clerk

Sheena commenced work for us in September 2009.  She has a BA/LLB and is currently undertaking her Professionals course to be admitted to the Bar.
