Divorce and Separation

I want to end my marriage formally. I have a new partner. But I cannot find my wife? What can I do?

Thank you - I suggest you contact your local family court for help. They can mostly help you and there are good information packs you can get for free.  A divorce is now called a Dissolution of Marriage. It may be necessary for you to  do something called ‘Substituted Service’ on your wife.

This can be done by serving the documents on another family member or placing an advertisement in the newspaper.  But this needs to be approved by the Family Court and the process can take many months. All the best.
