Child Taken Overseas
QUESTION:
I would like to ask you advice on an international please. My former wife took my child out of NZ on the agreement that she was to return to NZ.
My now ex wife took our child out of NZ when we agreed to her on the agreement she was to return to NZ once she had done what she had to do. She had told all my family she was returning as soon as she was able to when actually she had no intention off returning to NZ the day she departed. In January this year she told me via phone she would not return with our child, I had to seek legal advice but both times been told the exact same thing. My family asked and offered to pay for her and the child to come back so that our child could see an extremely sick Grandfather and my ex wife has denied our child that chance. Any advice would be appreciated.
ANSWER:
Thank you for your email. I suggest you see a lawyer and ask about the Hague Convention. You need proper advice and I need to know more information to help you.
